Scoring timestamps edit
While I have an actual chance to I shall explain the changes I made beforehand. 47:00 - 47:59/48:00 would be the 48th minute which is why it would be shown as 48', 76:00 - 76:59/77:00 the 77th minute as 77' and so on and so forth. The start of the match 00:00 - 00:59/01:00 by that logic would be the 1st minute and 1', would it not? As 0' doesn't quite look right. Conversely if for example a game went into extra time and a field goal was kicked in the first minute of extra time, 80:00 - 80:59/81:00, that would be the 81st minute as 81'. By that sense 80' would still imply the 80th minute, the last minute of regular time. 220.236.112.225 (talk) 23:50, 4 October 2023 (UTC)
- You know, Cody, I am with you here. Check the times at Fox League (https://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nrl-premiership/match-centre/NRL20233101), these align with your idea, and I can't see why that can't be a valid source. I also just noticed, the timestamps in the team lists don't match the ones in the match report, so it needs cleaning up anyway. - Well, when you contradict sourced material with your own interpretation, even if it is cogent, that's OR
- I don’t necessarily disagree with changing the numbers, (a try scored at 79:30 is technically “in the 80th minute” which is what 80’ means) but for consistencies sake there’s more than just this article that would have to be checked. I’m pretty sure match reports from several years ago followed this format but they haven’t this year so changing the times on just this article would be inconsistent with any others like the 2023 Origin article if they go by official NRL times (the game 2 send offs were at 79:XX but listed as 79’ on the nrl’s site). This has been going on at least since last year, the NRL lists Taumalolo’s try with 20 seconds left against the Sharks last year as 79’. Makes you wonder, would they put a 0’ if somebody scored off a kick-off? PhinsUp23 (talk) 13:23, 5 October 2023 (UTC)

- If indeed this is relatively recent, perhaps there's a new person doing it, and just truncates the time without really thinking through the implications noted so far. So if there was a 30 second try (and check this out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RvVnuOjIHo4) they would realise that 0 makes no sense, and put 1. Local Potentate (talk) 05:40, 6 October 2023 (UTC)
