GBR vs ENG edit

The debate over British riders using the GBR or ENG flag continues to rumble on between editors; I myself have reverted changes made that replaced GBR with ENG. Here @Johnny2hats2 saying in an edit that replaced GBR to ENG that "precedent was set" by other pages on Wikipedia using ENG, but this does not matter, for reasons I will explain.

The Auto-Cycle Union (ACU) is noted as the national federation of GBR by the FIM on their website and any document published by the FIM containing ACU-licenced riders (Vojens result sheet as an example) will give them the nationality of "Great Britain", not "England". Additionally, the ACU refers to itself as the "Governing body for motorcycle sport in the British Isles (less Northern Ireland)", indicating that it is one governing body covering Great Britain, the Channel Islands, and the Isle of Man (although whether it should say "less Ireland" is an open question), and occasionally refers to itself as "Bikesport GB", including in its logo.

Insofar as I'm concerned therefore, there is no precedent to set regarding the use of one flag over another. In the post-1994 (SGP, SWC etc.) era, it is not accurate to use ENG to represent riders on ACU licences and GBR should be used. However, it may remain period-correct to use it for events pre-1995.
