Participating nations?

edit

For the 2018 European Championships 52 nations are listed as participating. At the time of writing for the 2022 Championships only 19 nations are listed. Either this is accurate, in which case an explanation of the reason for the decline should be added, or it's not accurate, in which case the list should be expanded. For example I know British athletes will compete in the European Athletics Championships, yet Great Britain is not listed in the list of nations. I'm confused as to why, hence my comment. 86.150.146.244 (talk) 20:31, 7 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Extreme Edit War

edit

@GianluSport: and @Lllll0tss7:, you both need to knock this off right now before an admin comes along and hands out blocks. This apparently has something to do with medal counts? Discuss it here, please? Civilly. Zaathras (talk) 13:59, 13 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

I searched several times for the dialogue on the talk page, I only received insults. GianluSport (talk) 14:00, 13 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Rowing silver Germany's medal

edit

I try once again to resolve this edit war. As there were only two participants in the men's 4 light weight rowing competition, silver is not awarded. The medal table is visible here: https://results.mun.mev.atos.net/ECM2022/en/results/all-sports/medal-standings.htm GianluSport (talk) 13:59, 13 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Rome and Munich

edit

in the other languages the two events are treated together and the medal table is unique. 37.160.3.112 (talk) 10:12, 15 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

No, Swimming at this edition is not included into the EC. Munich is the only venue of the event. --Kasper2006 (talk) 06:03, 16 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Full protection

edit

It does seem short-sighted to have fully locked this page from editing just because of an edit war involving two individuals. This is a current event, the medal table is changing rapidly, and for the last 24 hours it has been hopelessly out of date. Not what Wikipedia is known for. The full protection has expired. I am setting this request to |answered=yes as there is nothing to implement. DanCherek (talk) 14:15, 16 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Table Tennis medals

edit

@Gro456I notice that the official medal table counts twice the doubles table tennis medals, it's obiuvusly a miskate since the playbook say that only one set of medals are awarded for each event. Regarding the mixed team, they should be counts separately, since they're not counts as NOC. GianluSport (talk) 11:31, 19 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Gro456 Giving two medals to the same NOC is a clear mistake, there are more medals in the medal table than those actually delivered. During the anthem, the one of the winning NOCs was not played. If you remember at the beginning even the medals of the same nation were counted x2 in the doubles, it is a clear mistake. The count for mixed teams must be added. GianluSport (talk) 13:34, 20 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Dear GianluSport, Even if the official pages have a bug, you have to track them according to their classification as official pages – that’s Wikipedia’s job to provide reliable information, not according to users' insights. Gro456 (talk) 13:42, 20 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Gro456On the official page, in the results section, doubles composed of two nations are marked as "Mixed team", this also happens in the official documents. More proofs than this... GianluSport (talk) 13:58, 20 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Because the players have officially performed as a mixed team that is not rated in the leaderboard, and each player represents their country and wins a medal for their country. Gro456 (talk) 14:03, 20 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Gro456We currently have a mrdagliere that awards 2 golds for the exact same event. The Wikipedia page on the European Table Tennis Championships also reports different results. GianluSport (talk) 14:04, 20 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

What do the data on wikipedia have for the official classification? Gro456 (talk) 14:06, 20 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

For example, an Austrian national player who still plays in mixed and wins a medal for his country is not suddenly a neutral player, where the medal goes to the account of a “mixed team.” Gro456 (talk) 14:09, 20 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Gro456Would the medal table on the official website be the only official source? Despite the same official website in the pages on table tennis, does it talk about Mixed team? I don't understand. GianluSport (talk) 14:10, 20 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

When it comes to these professions, then yes, it should be the only source as an official website, so a link to this page is provided. Gro456 (talk) 14:13, 20 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Gro456 the official website list, on the tabletennis page, the mixed team with athletes from 2 different NOC as "MIX".. GianluSport (talk) 14:14, 20 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Also, how many competitions are there that are awarded in a certain discipline, because there is no game for third place. This is the case, for example, in individual tournaments in table tennis. But the official site for the medal ranking is obvious. Gro456 (talk) 14:16, 20 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Here you can find the competition report and who wins the medal from which nation https://results.mun.mev.atos.net/ECM2022/resECM2022/pdf/ECM2022/TTE/ECM2022_TTE_C92A_TTEWDOUBLES-----------------------.pdf Gro456 (talk) 14:20, 20 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

all the specialized newspapers report Munich + Rome, perhaps it is appropriate to make an entry here too, for the combined medal table... 37.163.150.24 (talk) 10:27, 21 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
