A special election to fill the vacancy looks incredibly likely, and some candidates have spoken out about whether or not they will run in one. So, I've started a draft article for the race, which I'll move into mainspace if and when a special election is officially called. falsifying witness signatures

Hey, did 'falsifying witness signatures' happen in this election? The NBC article ([1]) says "She also said that Dowless coached her and others as to techniques to not “throw red flags” with the election board, including putting the stamp on the right way, signing witness signatures in the same color ink, and mailing absentee ballots in small numbers." This sentence must mean to say "signing witness signatures in different color ink," unless I am misunderstanding the grammar of the sentence. Further, even if the article meant to say this, then is her coaching sufficient to prove that falsifying witness signatures actually occurred? I would like to see a source that says something like 'She coached them in ballot tampering methodology, and then they actually did it.' I don't want to be too strict on this, but I think we should have a source that has the actual words, "and they actually testified that they really did falsify witness signatures". 03:27, 22 September 2019 (UTC)Geographyinitiative (talk) (modified) There's a big difference between telling someone how to do a crime, and then the crime actually being committed. Updates?

I have tried to find out what happened to the court cases for Dowless and the others, but it appears Dowless was never tried on charges directly related to the election before his death, and the others??? Maybe their charges are still pending? Or were they dropped when Dowless died? Can any locals figure out what happened?Brianyoumans (talk) 00:31, 30 December 2023 (UTC)
