Teams in the draft edit

Not knowing much about the draft but looking at the teams involved it appears the Cleveland Cavaliers get 4 draft picks while other teams like Toronto and Miami get none because of trades. Is this correct and, if so, could that be noted somewhere with a proper source? I looked at the NBA website but it makes no note of it. Calistemon (talk) 12:39, 22 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

That is actually fairly typical. A team will often trade a draft pick for a player on another team. It looks like there are now citations for all of the trades there. MathTeacherGuy (talk) 04:01, 14 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Not done: File:Anthony Bennett at 2013 NBA Draft.jpg is tagged for deletion on commons as a duplicate of File:Anthony Bennett by Jeremy Rincon.jpg, the current image in the article. NiciVampireHeart 21:54, 28 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Purpose of Showing National Flags edit

This is to whoever is leading on the series of "...NBA Draft articles." Showing the national flags is not only worthless and a waste of your time but it adds zip - nothing at all to the article. You can't make out the "flags" and 99.999% of the readers are able to read country names. Please think about what you are doing.Danleywolfe (talk) 23:27, 3 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

@Danleywolfe: In a past discussion, it was decided to leave flags in NBA articles where sources are shown to care about a player's nationality in relation to the article's topic. Maybe the NBA's marketing has paid off, but players' nationality is usually mentioned during the draft. For example, in the 2014 NBA draft, The New York Times wrote: "There were 10 international players in the first round, tied for the second-most in draft history."[1].—Bagumba (talk) 23:45, 3 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
