Talk:2012–13 Philadelphia Flyers season

Does Darthflyer own every Flyers season article? He sure acts like it. edit

As I pointed out to User:Darthflyer, "There is no separate format specifically for the Flyers. Both the Flyers and Flames, as well as every other NHL team, fall under WP:Hockey." Without evidence, he continues to assert that the Flyers season pages are separate from WP:Hockey. If you look at each season article recognized by Wikipedia as a good article, they all have text under the Regular season, Playoffs, and other sections. They go into detail and are well-sourced. None of the short synopsis' Darthflyer writes are sourced and any sourced material that had previously been written he removes. For instance, see [1]. Though some of what was removed should have been trimmed in that instance, getting rid of all of it was ridiculous and the poor reasoning behind removing it was a slap to the face of every editor who took the time to write any of it, declaring it all "redundant" in the process. Yet he laughably accuses me of butchering pages. --Phifly (talk) 05:41, 1 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Darthflyer was incorrect, the standard formatting of the season pages is a constant we try to maintain across every season for each team. The format we use is usually based off the good/featured articles we already have. Sometimes there are differences between one team or another as the standard gets upgraded or changed and pages haven't been changed to match it yet. As for how previous seasons of the Flyers are done, without having looked through the edit history of them I am guessing they are missing those sections because no one has written them yet. -DJSasso (talk) 18:09, 5 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Exclusion of Goalies in scoring stats edit

I noticed that the stats format changed slightly this season: I just want to point out if we are going to add a SUM TOTAL at the bottom, then the Goalies should be readded to the Scoring, err..."Skaters", table. Bryz's assist is no different than any other assist included. TerminalPreppie (talk) 18:25, 4 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

We should probably switch it back to the standard. -DJSasso (talk) 17:45, 5 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
