Stadia & Locations

edit

I think we need to sort this secion out. We have four teams stated to play at Fatorda Stadium and then we have three different locations on offer. Which one is correct? If anything, the location must either be Margao or the state of Goa? If going for the state name, then we need to change the Location header to State. Or we need to put some notes in such as, Sporting Clube de Goa is a club representing the state of Goa and play at the Fatorda Staium in Margao and another example being; Dempo play at the Fatorda Stadium in Margao but represent the Dempo Mining Corporation Limited which is based in the city of Panjim.

I think we need to give the reader more of an insight to the clubs, but not give too much as they can read the clubs article if really interested. Druryfire (talk) 19:07, 13 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

We can write under the Location "(playing in Margao)" as we do in 2012–13 Serie A for Cagliari Calcio where is home city is Cagliari but they play in Quartu Sant'Elena. Stigni (talk) 19:13, 13 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
That seems a solution. Druryfire (talk) 19:17, 13 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

I dont see what the problem is. The clubs are based in there respective cities but only play in Margao because the Fatorda Stadium is the only AFC approved stadium in Goa. If the reader really must know why this is then they would not be lazy enough to not click the club article page. --Arsenalkid700 (talk) 19:27, 13 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Okay, I see what you guys did. Its cool. Better actually. Cheers. --Arsenalkid700 (talk) 19:32, 13 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
I reduce the overlink and add "(playing in Margao)" under the real home town. I think now it is more correct and clear. Stigni (talk) 19:35, 13 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
It is. Thank you for that. --Arsenalkid700 (talk) 19:36, 13 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

What is the the Home town for the Churchill Brothers? Because Salcette is a administrative division and not a city. Stigni (talk) 20:49, 13 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Salcette is a town, just not a notable one. I knew Salcette was also within the division (also named Salcette) so I left it as that. --Arsenalkid700 (talk) 20:57, 13 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
In their website I don't found anything, and the address in "Contact Us" area is unknown to Google Maps. If someone else want to search this is the website: [1] Stigni (talk) 21:15, 13 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
That is not there website... this is [2]. Anyway I do have a proposition. The club plays in Salcette but the club's training ground is located in Varca so if you want (just to stop confusion a little) do you want to list Varca as there home town and not Salcette. --Arsenalkid700 (talk) 22:21, 13 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

ONGC are playing their first few games in Delhi because the Cooperage Ground is not yet ready. So where are Mumbai currently playing?

ONGC play in Delhi. Mumbai FC and Air India play in Pune (same stadium as Pune FC). --Arsenalkid700 (talk) 16:48, 25 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Article Issues

edit

Gents, please write down here how you want the page to look. We have had a discussion previously on stadia and it worked.

If anyone continues to change the format of the page without prior discussion then the edits will be reverted back to how they were. I don't want this to happen, but lets discuss and work as a team. We all obviously follow the I.League, so lets work together to make some excellant articles.

Please discuss. Druryfire (talk) 10:40, 7 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

To be honest, I am more concerned of getting blocked at this moment because of the 3RR rule. Anyway, the problem is with two main things, the changing of Pune FC captains and the changing of the "Stadiums and Locations". Now look, I understand that the "Stadiums and Locations" section is not updated but the solution is not to add all 3 stadiums the Goan clubs have played in or the 2 Kolkata clubs have played in. We have a section for this already so why not use that. It makes sense and it makes the page look good and not deformed. As for the Pune FC captain, Pierre has always been the captain and many sources (including the Pune FC website) have called him captain. All of a sudden Chika Wali gets the armband for 1 game and all of a sudden it has the change. It does not. Pierre is still the captain according to Pune FC and he was added as captain the next game anyway so I did not see the logic in changing.
Sorry for the grammer mistakes here, I am in a rush. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 10:48, 7 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

RANTI MARTINS SCORED 27 GOALS AND ODAFE OKOLIE SCORED 20 GOALS I COUNTED IT MYSELF FROM VARIOUS SITES.INCLUDING MOHAN BAGAN,PRAYAG UNITED User:Arsenalkid700Please discuss.

Okay, I do not want to come off as mean but I do not care if you counted it yourself. What you count does not matter. The numbers I have are officially from the I-League itself. They clearly say that Ranti has 26 goals and that Odafa has 19. Does not matter what you come up with, that is what the official league has. I am sorry but that is the reality. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 14:11, 16 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

PRESEASON PUNE FC DECIDED TO GIVE THE CAPTAINCY TO DOUHOU PIERE BUT DUE TO SOME REASONS THEY CHANGED IT TO CHIKA WALI.AS THE CURRENT CAPTAIN IS CHIKA WALI.HE SHOULD BE SHOWN AS ITS THE CURRENT STATUS WHEREAS SHOWING DOUHOU AS CAPATAIN MAKES NO SENSE.ALTHOUGH IT MIGHT BE WRITTEN ON PFC HOME PAGE.THERE ARE MANY LINKS ON THE PAGE WHICH ARE NOT UPDATED INCLUDING THE PLAYER PROFILE,PFC SHOP,EVEN STANDINGS SO THEY MIGHT EVEN HAVE NOT UPDATED THE CAPTAINS PROFILE.SO PLEASE CHANGE THE CAPTAIN.EVEN THE GOALS SCORED EAST BENGAL COMPLETED THEIR ROUND 23 MATCH WITH A 6-0 WIN OVER UNITED SIKKIM.THE GOALS OF THIS MATCH ARE NOT ADDED.THEY ARE MANY MATCHES WHOS SCORES ARE NOT UPDATED THOSE MATCHES ARE THE ONES WHICH WERE POSTPONED.I DONT KNOW WHY THESE MATCHES SCORES ARE NOT UPLOADED N WHEN I UPLOAD THEM THERE ARE REMOVED.THERE NO SENSE IN REMOVING THE SCORES.AS THE SCORES UPLOADED ARE TRUE ACCORDING TO AIFF SITES.ALSO THE GOALS SCORED BY EDEH CHIDI IS 18.HE SCORED IT IN A 6-0 WIN OVER UNITED SIKKIM. -User:c7777777

I dont know about the other parts of your edit. I may have undone them by accident when undoing your captains edit. Anyway, I am happy you finally decided to reply back. Anyway, I know for a fact that Douhou was the captain against Air India when Pune won 6-0 and there are newspapers as well that called him captain still as well as quotes. Just because a player is made captain for a few games does not mean there is a change. Thomas Vermaelen has not started or captained Arsenal since March and yet we still have him as captain of Arsenal on the 2012-13 Premier League page. Unless we have a complete source that there was a change we can not change it here. The rest I will see what I can do. Cheers. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 09:47, 11 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
Okay, I just counted the total number of goals scored by each team and the number does reach 511. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 09:53, 11 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
