Starting XI edit

Hey, I just saw the starting IX section, how do we know this (with all the changes this transfer window) I think that we should keep it empty until the first official game of next season. --mo-- (Talk | #info |   ) 20:57, 22 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Santiago Bernabéu Stadium edit

I've noticed the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium is often displayed on this page as "Estadio Santiago Bernabéu" and I suggest changing all of them to "Santiago Bernabéu Stadium" as that's the title of the Wikipedia entry for the stadium and this is the English language Wikipedia. Statistics for all the matches of Real Madrid edit

Hello my friend Xboxandhalo2, how are you

I hope you still Remember me

Early in the season I carry a new proposal I see great has never been done that

Look here

2011 Copa del Rey Final

What do you think that we work page 2011-12 Real Madrid Pre-season matches, 2011-12 Real Madrid La Liga matches, 2011-12 Real Madrid UEFA Champions League matches and 2011-12 Real Madrid Copa del Rey matches and make it the same page that the above

I saw the proposal that is very appropriate especially since he will enable all readers to know the smallest details of every game for Real Madrid

I wish to consider the proposal and thank you very much محمد البكور (talk) 04:06, 13 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

It might be a bit of work, but I don't mind, I think you should take the opinion of others as well. --mo-- (Talk | #info |   ) 05:51, 13 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
I suppose we can test this for the Pre-season. I recommend putting them under one article, 2011–12 Real Madrid C.F. matches with sections for each competition. My concern is that this proposal only adds squad lists and substitution times, and those can already be found just by clicking Report. Bobby (talk) 14:44, 13 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
Agree with Bobby, this type of detail might only be needed on finals, keep in mind that in all competitions and friendlies, you could look at up to 70 games if not more in a season... --mo-- (Talk | #info |   ) 19:38, 13 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Mesut Özil again edit

He has relinquished is Turkish citizenship and as such it's not his second nationality. See http://www.atlantic-times.com/archive_detail.php?recordID=2292 and many other refs. As for his club number, they gave him 10 last summer as well and then settled on 23 in the season. Without a WP:RS, we should not be changing his number. --Walter Görlitz (talk) 19:43, 17 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Last season, he wore #26 in the pre-season and #19 on week 1 of La Liga because Garay was injured at the time and was not on the squad list. The following week, van der Vaart was transferred, Garay returned, so Özil inherited the #23. He never wore #10 at any point at Real Madrid until last night. The official World Football Challenge site listed Özil as #10 and since the tournament takes place during the 2011–12 Real Madrid C.F. season, I think it serves as a WP:RS. Furthermore, during last year's pre-season, Ronaldo changed to 7, Arbeloa to 17, Benzema to 9, Alonso to 14, and Granero to 11 and they all retained those numbers when the season started. Bobby (talk) 21:48, 17 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
I believe that any pre-season matches should not be considered as a good source of player numbers... Look at Alonso last summer, for example, he was 22 until the league started then switched to 14, even Real Madrid's website tells you that numbers aren't final until the first official game... Therefor, I think numbers should be left blank until the first official match (SuperCopa). If you notice, the players don't have their names on the shirts, only numbers, so numbers are interchangeable. --mo-- (Talk | #info |   ) 22:18, 17 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
Alonso wore 14 for the entire preseason last summer. You can see him running toward the goal here and later on in the video as well, wearing 14 in the match against LA Galaxy, his first match after returning from the World Cup. I'm in favor of keeping numbers, since every other football club season page on Wikipedia uses them. Bobby (talk) 23:07, 17 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
Humm, I guess I was wrong, well I also heard that Sahin will get #5, that leaves Gago's transfer possible... Either way, we can keep it this way until new information surfaces... --mo-- (Talk | #info |   ) 23:18, 17 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
I stand corrected on his number from last pre-season. I suggest we settle on not changing until the first league match or until the club's roster page changes. The former will be shortly. The latter mat be closer to the middle of September, well the English site anyhow =) --Walter Görlitz (talk) 00:24, 18 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Şahin # 5 edit

Hello

It was clear from yesterday's match that number 5 for Nuri, was stripped from Gago , such as Lass who stripped his number and was given to Mesut. Please give me your decision final regarding the draft 2011–12 Real Madrid C.F. matches, Frankly, because I'm seeing very nice, especially since access to the relays and the squad in Wikipedia is much easier than access to the Report. Beast Regards -- محمد البكور Talk |   04:21, 18 July 2011 (UTC) Reply

Hello, I think we will find out very soon as he is due to debut in China, also, I think the editors are waiting for the fist official match (Aug, 14 vs Barcelona), where the final numbers will be provided. Other than that, Happy Ramadan! --mo-- (Talk | #info |   ) 00:09, 2 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
I've been itching for his debut for about three months now haha. He better feature against Tianjin! Bobby (talk) 02:16, 4 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Alvaro Morata edit

Will he be playing for the first team or will he remain in the Casilla team? He didn't travel with the team due to the UEFA U19 championship, should he be mentioned in the squad? --mo-- (Talk | #info |   ) 00:12, 2 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Currently he is still a member of Castilla since there has been no announcement from Real Madrid regarding his promotion. He could be mentioned after he plays a game for the first team. Personally, I do not believe he will be promoted this season. Bobby (talk) 02:15, 4 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Third Jersey (red) edit

Hello, can someone who knows how to code the shirts add the new third jersey (red) that was used yesterday, thanks.--mo-- (Talk | #info |   ) 13:39, 15 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

The color shade is currently a little off. I think ______ matches the kits a little better? I will upload a new version of the kits when I have time, probably this weekend. Bobby (talk) 08:10, 21 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Split page? edit

Split - Article is long, and should be split out starting with competitions.--Jax 0677 (talk) 19:34, 19 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
