Talk:2005 Java–Bali blackout

Latest comment: 15 years ago by Gorman in topic MWh is not the right unit?

I think this article should be moved to 2005 Java-Bali Blackout just like the Indonesian article, which is id:Mati listrik Jawa-Bali 2005 or the wikinews article "Indonesian blackout caused by lack of generation capacity". Meursault2004 20:39, 24 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Yup, I agree. I've moved the article to its proper title. *drew 22:54, 24 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Rename, again edit

Actually, I think that Java-Bali power outage (2005) would be better. As noted elsewhere, it would be better as it uses the more specific term for blackout and the disambiguator is placed at the end where most are placed. I think that using "of 2005" isn't a bad idea either. Most importantly blackout is not a proper noun and so at the very least it should be 2005 Java-Bali blackout, though I don't recommend it. 134.250.72.141

30 million or 100 million? edit

In one part of the article it states 100 million were affected (at the top) but further down it says 30 million. Which one is it? Cls14 18:44, 31 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

MWh is not the right unit? edit

MWh measure a supply of electricity over time, not the instantaneous load on the system. Is this referring to the amount of power-time lost? If so, the power lost is just 385 MW; almost nothing compared to the roughly 20,000 MW lost in the Northeast Blackout of 2003. Gorman (talk) 01:26, 31 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
