Needs an Explanation edit
I note that Oakland won the A.L. West by just half a game over Seattle. I assume that the reason that Oakland wasn't required to make up their unplayed game is because they held the tiebreak advantage over Seattle, and would still win even if a makeup loss gave them the same W-L record as Seattle. This should be noted in the article, as it looks strange. WHPratt (talk) 13:47, 26 August 2011 (UTC)
Record number of Runs scored edit
Per this page, MLB Runs Scored League Totals | Baseball Almanac (baseball-almanac.com), 24, 971 runs were scored in 2000, the highest total ever. PatConolly (talk) 06:43, 15 March 2024 (UTC)
