Is there any way someone create a diagram with the taxiways and runways so it would be easier to follow how the DC-9 got to the accident site? There is an FAA diagram in the infobox for the article Detroit Metropolitan Airport but it represents the layout and designations of today's airport which are different from what they were in 1990. The taxiway designations and route of the DC-9 in 1990 can be taken from the accident report on page 11 and also from this video: [1] at 34:29. Compared to the current layout it means that the originally assigned route was via taxiway Foxtrott (about where F is today), which runs NW-SE towards runway 3C (current runway 3L). But the plane instead took the outer taxiway (current taxiway V) to the east. Shortly before it reached runway 3C it was ordered to do a sharp riht turn and take taxiway xray (current M) which runs NE-SW parallel to the runway but instead it took Oscar 4 to the southeast (no equivalent today) which lead to the crossing of runways 09L and 3C and then went a short way on 3L to the southwest before the crash happened.
