Does anyone have source for the statement in this article that the Frogs accused Billy Corgan of plagiarism? I've never heard of this. Go to The Frogs Archive, and in the audio section, the fourth mp3 available is a live version of "Pleasure" with the comments about the stealing. Listen to the mp3 - it is a bit similar, but not so much that I'd call "1979" a rip-off. Folkor 22:45, 22 March 2006 (UTC)

How old is this song?

The history section states that this song was the last to be written for the recording sessions. The nearest reference after that is not very strong. If you go to www.archive.org and listen to the 1/8/1997 show in Vancouver, Corgan tells the audience at the end of 33 that the next song was written when he was 12. Then they play 1979.

Is this story a falsification by the writer or might we revisit this statement that it was the last song to be written for MCIS? Perhaps billy pulled it out of a drawer and tweaked it to get Flood to put it on the album, but the notion that in some form or way it was older than any other song he was known to have written is quite interesting. —Preceding unsigned comment added by ArcticEE (talk • contribs) 02:09, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

Er he might have meant he he started writing it or something? Like had a couple of chords for it but he finished it for MCIS. Or... I dunno Billy Corgan seems to contradict himself a lot when he talks about the meanings or origins of his music. Like I saw a recent live version where he talked about he had a random memory of sitting in his car at night, at a traffic light... and that was what the song was about, that memory. But then he also says that it was written about the transition into adulthood or something.
