Whilst I acknowledge and agree that the the references available are limited, and agree absolutely with a 'needs more references' template, there exist no other sources than the one cited, in the references section, which are known to me, else I would act on this.

The source cited is from The Elections Centre, a well-established and well-recognised source for UK local elections (https://www.electionscentre.co.uk/?page_id=62). Chorley Council cites the same source for past Lancashire County Council election results (https://chorley.gov.uk/article/3300/Lancashire-County-Council-elections-1973-2009-results).

I therefore argue that this article is better served by a more-sources-needed template such as it already has, rather than languishing as a draft due to the lack of accessible resources for this subject.
