Complaints made by Leeds
editAfter attempting and failing to find credible accounts- ones actually documenting the events as opposed to those of Leeds fans, which are naturally biased- for the two paragraphs regarding the controversial events of the final, I've deleted them. I added citation tags but then realized that in fact there were sources for none of the material in either. The paragraphs were also written so as to seem like an indictment without having a single source to back it up. The only real fact present was that Leeds were aggrieved and contested the result of the match- that has remained.
And I didn't feel that the paragraph about the petition had a place here, either; again, the fact of the allegation can be reported, but it can't be made to seem as if accusing someone of something makes it automatically so.

Seems this has come up again... the Telegraph, while a credible source, only confirms the fact that the match was contested by Leeds and its fans. Wannabe rockstar (talk) 18:47, 24 June 2010 (UTC)

AC Milan Manager
editCan anyone confirm who was the manager at this game via a genuine match report or a program. The article says Nereo Rocco, but on the AC Milan wiki page says that the manager for 1973 season was Cesare Maldini. Both manager pages states that they were the manager for this game.
Edit: I see List_of_A.C._Milan_managers page mentioned Rocco as a Technical Director. Does that mean that this article should mark Maldini as the manager? Or should both names be shown?— Preceding unsigned comment added by Sokratees9 (talk • contribs) 13:29, 20 February 2020 (UTC)
Starting line-ups
editHello! Is it possible to add a file which contains the starting line-ups for both teams in the final?. --88.91.100.244 (talk) 15:04, 17 May 2020 (UTC)
Game was subject to a TV blackout in UK
editUEFA didn't allow the game to be shown live on TV in the UK because of a simultaneous Scotland v Northern Ireland home international game which it saw as rivalry - https://clarkyboy72.wordpress.com/2012/06/14/ac-milan-1-leeds-united-0-1973-european-cup-winners-cup-final-kaftanzoglio-stadium-salonika-16th-may-1973/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.16.72.221 (talk) 17:58, 19 January 2024 (UTC)
