The result of the move request was: Moved. Consensus for changing from title-case to sentence-case capitalization after the first word after the dash. No consensus for now on also making the first word lower-case, which would affect many more pages. (non-admin closure) {{replyto|SilverLocust}} (talk) 09:23, 20 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

– Event names downhill, combined, slalom, giant slalom, super-G, are most often lowercase in WP titles and in sources, but in YYYY Alpine Skiing World Cup and a few other other cases are inappropriately capped. This is just a sampling to stand for all of them, listed at User:Dicklyon/Skiing, which we can get moved by TolBot 13D if we see a clear consensus here. • Support - Unnecessary capping. Primergrey (talk) 23:05, 10 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
  • Support - Downhill, combined etc should be in lower case. --Bcp67 (talk) 14:57, 13 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
Relisting comment: Relisting for opportunity for more participation on a proposal to move 293 related pages {{replyto|SilverLocust}} (talk) 08:27, 13 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
  • Support but I would go further: 1967 Alpine Skiing World Cup – men's downhill, etc., because "men's", "women's", and so forth are not proper names.  — SMcCandlish ¢ 😼  23:11, 15 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
  • Support, but per SMcCandlish I'd downcase further. Tony (talk) 00:16, 16 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
I would agree, but we lost this battle in the tennis realm, treating the bit after the dash like a subtitle, and I wasn't ready to propose it again. Thanks for agreeing that the particular events needs to be downcased. There are over 10,000 articles that would be affected if we lowercased men's after dash on all sports (and maybe a similar number for women's), as opposed to only a few hundred affecting by the current more modest proposal, so let's hold off on that for now. Note – I failed to notice the "Parallel" events added in 2020; consider them included (or I can deal with them manually):
