I propose that 1959–60 in English football be merged into 1959–60 Football League. I found these two articles while doing Wikidata work, and both articles are directed towards the same foreign-language articles. After I looked through both of them, it looks like they both contain the exact same information. Also, I'm posting this notice on 1959–60 Football League due to this article having a compatible infobox that links to the other articles in past and future seasons for the English Football League. Note. If there is a specific reason why these two articles are separate, could someone please explain it to me on my talk page (User talk:Steel1943)? The reason I ask is because I saw that if this article needs to be merged, there about about 50+ other articles that will need the same merging, and that seems like a lot to fix, so I'm assuming there is a reason why these two articles are separate. Comment There are dozens of similar named articles regarding different English football seasons. Would they all be merged ? A wider discussion might be needed around the naming of these articles. Djln Djln (talk) 20:14, 4 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Djln, I agree with this, due to the fact that a discussion to merge, such at this one, would have a precedence on 50+ articles (well, maybe more like 100+ articles) that are similiar to this one. I'm considering moving this discussion to the base article of this topic, if I can find it. And then, I would have to post all of the examples possible .... unless there is a certain forum where I can post this instead here on Wikipedia, but I do not believe there is. Results error? edit

The First Division league table doesn't quite add up to the results grid - if the Arsenal-Birmingham game is 3-0 instead of 3-5 then it all agrees. Gladryn St John (talk) 17:56, 17 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
