This page states he was MP until he obtained his Earldom (on 1 January 1945). However he did not live to take his seat in the House of Lords, and his Wikipedia biography gives his last date as MP for Carnarvon Boroughs as his death on 26 March 1945 - which is correct? Despite this technical question, his career stands as the longest a British Prime Minister has enjoyed representing one seat throughout life, 54 years.Cloptonson (talk) 22:17, 9 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
