It looks like 10th Illinois Infantry Regiment (3 Year) and 10th Illinois Infantry Regiment (3 Month) are the same unit, with the 3 year article confusingly including the period under the 3 month enlistment in its history section. There are no hatnotes between them, nor a disambiguation page at the base name 10th Illinois Infantry Regiment, so the situation is untenable. These should be merged together then moved to 10th Illinois Infantry Regiment. Many analogous Illinois regiments have already include the 3 month and 3 year period in one article (e.g. the 11th) or have been proposed for merging (e.g. the 7th, 8th, 9th, and 12th. Having multiple, improperly disambiguated articles for different time periods of the same entity is confusing. Mdewman6 (talk) 01:57, 27 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
