Shankavar (Persian: شانكاور), also Romanized as Shānkāvar; also known as Shangāvar,[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Khoshabar Rural District[4] of the Central District of Rezvanshahr County, Gilan province, Iran.

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 910 in 233 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 957 people in 263 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 972 people in 293 households.[2]
