Shaitani Rasmein

Shaitani Rasmein (transl. Satanic Rituals) is an Indian Hindi-language series starring Shefali Jariwala, Vibhav Roy and Naqiyah Haji.[1][2] It premiered on 15 January 2024 on Star Bharat[3] and is digitally available on Disney+ Hotstar. It is a romance thriller with a wedding theme, as well as supernatural elements.[4][5]

Premise edit

Nikki, an orphan city girl marry her prince charming Piyush and arrives Bhurangarh. Nikki's-in-laws worship the satanic force Malik and make her perform Shaitani Rasmein, their she ends up challenging the evil entity.In Goa, Nikki's governess Anita is brutally killed after she trying to contact Nikki but in vain.Nikki keeps fulfilling the evil rituals that she is given but she refuses at first but later agrees.Nikki's childhood friend Veronica (who is also an orphan) tries contacting Nikki but in vain and decides to go to Bhurangarh to search for her; where she is surprised by the on going black ritual .Nikki is devastated by the death of Anita and does not want to go on with the ritual.The family forces her or else Kapalika will kill everyone.Veronica decides to separate Piyush and Nikki but ends up killed by Kapalika.Nikki is shocked by Piyush's behavior and decides to leave but that angers Kapalika who kills Arohi's unborn child.Nikki then decides to continue with the rituals as Piyush's elder brother,Pratik (Arohi's husband) blames her for his unborn child's death .

Shefali Jariwala,Vipul Roy and Naqiyah Haji were signed as the leads.[19] The first promo was released in December 2023.[20]

The series was announced by Triangle Film Company on Star Bharat.[21] It is an live action adaptation of comic series "Shaitani Rasmein" from Pratilipi Comics.[22]
