Salvator duseni is a species of lizard in the family Teiidae.[3] The species is sometimes known commonly as the yellow tegu.[4] It is native to South America.

Etymology
editS. duseni is named after Swedish botanist Per Karl Hjalmar Dusén who collected the holotype.[3][5]
Geographic range
editS. duseni is found in Brazil and Paraguay.[3] In Brazil it is found in Bahia, Distrito Federal, Goiás, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Minas Gerais, Paraná, and Tocantins.[2]

editS. duseni can grow to 41 cm (16.1 in) in snout-to-vent length (SVL).[3]
Behavior
editS. duseni is diurnal and terrestrial.[2]
Diet
editAn omnivore, S. duseni eats plants, invertebrates, and small vertebrates.[2]
Reproduction
editS. duseni is oviparous.[3] Clutch size is approximately 36 eggs.[2]
