Rudpey-ye Shomali District

Rudpey-ye Shomali District (Persian: بخش رودپی شمالی) is in Sari County, Mazandaran province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Farahabad.[3]

History

After the 2006 National Census, Rudpey-ye Jonubi Rural District and Rudpey-ye Shomali Rural District were separated from the Central District in the establishment of Rudpey District.[4]

In 2013, Rudpey-ye Gharbi Rural District was established in Rudpey District, and Rudpey-ye Shomali Rural District was separated from the district in establishing Rudpey-ye Shomali District, which was divided into two rural districts.[3]

After the 2016 census, the village of Farahabad was elevated to the status of a city.[5]

The 2016 census measured the population of the district as 15,496 inhabitants in 4,432 households.[2]
