@Alsoriano97: Reminder of the guideline: "Do not list the ordinary deaths of prominent persons here. That's what recent deaths is for. Exceptions to this rule are made for prominent persons who died in office (such as Pope John Paul II and Omar Bongo) or other instances where the death in itself has a major impact." His death is not an event in politics, nor an election; if this has a "major impact," then only in some culture; finally, he was formally president, not dictator (we're here for facts, not opinions stated as facts). Julius Caesar was a dictator, and Garibaldi. Wakari07 (talk) 22:09, 19 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
He's a very prominent person, but his death appears to be ordinary. He was 83 and battling cancer. That is a sad but straightforward fact of life, unfortunately; people in those circumstances can reasonably be expected to die. 88.111.223.177 (talk) 23:23, 19 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
