Všemyslice

Všemyslice is a municipality and village in České Budějovice District in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 1,200 inhabitants.

Všemyslice lies approximately 29 kilometres (18 mi) north of České Budějovice and 97 km (60 mi) south of Prague.

History

The territory of the village was inhabited already in prehistoric and early medieval times. There was a flat, unfortified settlement in the locality of Kořenský vrch.[2] In the locality of Kozí vrch there is a two-part fortified settlement from the Bronze Age.[3]

The first written mention of the village (Usemyslicz) dates back to 1352.
