Mohtaramabad Rural District

Mohtaramabad Rural District (Persian: دهستان محترم آباد) is in Kotij District of Fanuj County, Sistan and Baluchestan province, Iran. Its capital is the village of Mohtaramabad.

After the 2011 National Census, Fanuj District was separated from Nik Shahr County in the establishment of Fanuj County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with Fanuj as its capital and only city at the time.

At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 5,913 in 1,479 households. The most populous of its 78 villages was Mohtaramabad, with 2,663 people.[2]
