Protected edit request on 2 March 2020

edit

Remove the transclusion of MediaWiki:Jswarning; there is no reason to show a warning about the insecurity of JavaScript when previewing a CSS page. * Pppery * it has begun... 03:57, 2 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Pppery: This is a not-yet response. While it is true that we probably shouldn't speak to the security of Javascript, it is also true that a user can still add malicious CSS to their personal CSS (notably various background-image maliciousness as well as e.g. loading external fonts). Do you have a proposed replacement? --Izno (talk) 15:28, 2 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
No, I had no replacement planned (I stumbled across this page when investigating my other edit request, and it seemed self-evidently wrong. Nor do I consider myself qualified to write such a warning box, having little understanding of what nad things, exactly, could be done with CSS. * Pppery * it has begun... 23:23, 2 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Pppery: Okay, I've pulled in similar text from the jswarning mediawiki page then. --Izno (talk) 03:45, 3 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
