Santiago Calleros (August 6, 2002 – July 6, 2022), better known by his stage name Lil Travieso (/lɪl trɑˈviesoʊ/) was an American rapper.

Born in Albuquerque, New Mexico to parents of Hispanic descent, he later on moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado,[1] where he gained notoriety from the hit songs “Bangin The Park”,[2] “Thuggin”,[3] and “Homies”,[4] amongst others, which have accumulated millions of views as of July 2024. Calleros was a known member of the Sureño street gang “Parkside Varrio 13”,[5] which he mentioned in many of his songs.
Personal life
editCalleros' daughter was born in 2020.[6]
Calleros' blood sister, Marisela Angelina Calleros, passed away in her room on November 15, 2023, at the age of 22. Since the loss of her brother she was running his tribute Instagram, and his music and merchandise company, "W1ck3d Wayz".[7]
Calleros was a Steelers fan who enjoyed playing football himself.[8]
Murder and aftermath
editAt around 10:50 p.m. of July 6, 2022, police were sent to the 3600 block of El Morro Road in southeastern Colorado Springs in response to a reported shooting. They found Calleros at the El Morro Mobile Home Park with at least one gunshot wound. Officers and medical personnel provided medical aid to Calleros, but he died from the injuries.[9]
Crime Stoppers is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a murder suspect in connection to the death of the rap artist in July 2022.[10]
