How does one read this map? It suggests to me that lemons are cultivated in New England? | I find that hard to believe.

I agree - the graphic is misleading. Citrus, including lemons and limes, is mostly grown in Florida and California in the US. Dialectric (talk) 15:32, 31 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Further agreement. No "proper" citrus can survive outdoors in the cold climate of New England. The vast majority of our citrus fruits in the USA come from Florida, California, Texas, and Arizona, in that order, from greatest to least production.
