Summary

Description
English: A female of the horned sungem (Heliactin bilophus) feeding on nectar of the plant Amphilophium elongatum through a small hole at the base of the flower. This "nectar robbing" occurs because the long flower is incompatible with the small bill of the bird. Original caption: "Female of Heliactin bilophus nectar robbing of Amphilophium elongatum, municipality of Rondonópolis, Mato Grosso state, Brazil (Photo: B.D.V., 2014)."
