WE already seem to have an article on this topic here K. Annamalai? Theroadislong (talk) 08:01, 11 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

I think that's a different guy. "K. Annamalai (politician)" was born in 1984 and "K. Annamalai" was elected in 2001. ~WikiOriginal-9~ (talk) 08:21, 11 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
This article was previously deleted at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Annamalai k. Also see K. Annamalai (BJP politician). Curbon7 (talk) 08:58, 11 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
This has been created, and deleted, multiple times under every conceivable permutation of Annamalai and/or K. or Kuppusami/-y, so much so that many of the titles have been protected, see eg. Kuppusamy Annamalai. Also, there's a whole separate SPI division dealing with just these! -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 09:07, 11 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
@DoubleGrazing The article was previously deleted in 2020 for not being notable. Since then, the person in the article jas been elected state Governor and a simple Google Search generates tens on news articles. All the references I included in the article are all media articles. Is notability defined differently for some subjects? Kelmaa (talk) 11:16, 11 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Kelmaa: that AfD outcome was challenged, and subsequently endorsed, at Wikipedia:Deletion_review/Log/2023_November_2#Annamalai_Kuppusamy, with "recreation (under any title) is disallowed, pending submission of a competent draft to DRV". The creation of this article not only violates that condition, but also you, as a paid editor, should not have created this directly in the main article space. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 11:34, 11 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

This should be sent to Afd again, or maybe I'm missing some rule which says that it cannot be created at all, no matter he becomes notable or not? zoglophie•talk• 11:44, 11 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
