The Night of the Hunter is an upcoming American thriller film directed by Scott Derrickson. It is based on the novel of the same name by Davis Grubb, as well as a remake of the 1955 film directed by Charles Laughton.
Premise
editA serial killer masks himself as a preacher in an effort to swindle the fortune of a wealthy widow.
Production
editIt was announced in March 2024 that Scott Derrickson was set to direct the film, which he will co-write with his writing partner C. Robert Cargill.[1]
