Satish Jain is an Indian film writer and director, who has worked mainly in the Chhattisgarhi, Bhojpuri and Hindi film industries. He made his debut as a director with the Chhattisgarhi movie Mor Chhainha Bhuinya in 2000.

Personal life edit

Jain spent his childhood in Bhanupratappur, Bastar (now in Kanker). Both his mother and father were teachers. He has a brother and a younger sister. He completed his schooling from village Bhanupratappur.

He started his career as an assistant director with director Kriti Kumar in 1988 with the film Hatya and wrote films such as Dulara (1994), Aag (1994), Rajaji (1999) and Had Kar Di Aapne (2000).

Director edit

His directorial debut Mor Chhainha Bhuiyan (2000), is the first successful film in Chhattisgarhi cinema and Silver Jubilee and the first release after Ghar Dwar (1971). The thought of direction came from the film Had Kar Di Aapne (2000) when this film was not being made like the story of the film written by him.It is a historical film in Chhattisgarhi cinema.[1]
