SMITE 2 is a forthcoming third-person action MOBA and the sequel to SMITE, developed by Titan Forge Games. It was announced at the SMITE World Championships on January 12, 2024. The game is engineered using Unreal Engine 5 and will be available on multiple platforms including Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and the Epic Games Store. SMITE 2 is designed based on a decade of user feedback and aims to enhance the original game’s features, incorporating advanced visuals, improved animations, and a better user interface. It maintains the core experience but introduces new gameplay elements, additional pantheons, and diversified character abilities with dual power sources, namely Strength and Intelligence. The game also features a redesigned Relic and Item system aimed at deepening strategic play and enhancing combat engagement.[3][4]

Divine Legacy and Legacy Gems

edit

To honor the commitment of the 40 million players of SMITE, the sequel includes the Divine Legacy program and the Legacy Gems system. This initiative acknowledges players' past investments by converting previously spent gems into Legacy Gems in SMITE 2, which can be used for new purchases. Furthermore, the Divine Legacy program allows players to earn additional reward skins in SMITE 2 by playing the original SMITE.[5]
