NBK 109 is the tentative working title of an upcoming Indian Telugu-language film written and directed by K. S. Ravindra, and produced by Naga Vamsi S and Sai Soujanya under the banners, Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinema. The film stars Nandamuri Balakrishna, alongside Bobby Deol and Urvashi Rautela. Thaman S will produce the soundtrack, Vijay Kartik Kannan is the cinematographer and editing will be handled by Niranjan Devaramane.

The film was announced with a muharatam pooja ceremony on 10 June 2023, and was attended by the film's cast, crew and some other influential figures in the Tollywood industry including Trivikram Srinivas, V. V. Vinayak and Gopichand Malineni.[1] Balakrishna was reportedly paid ₹25 crore (US$3.1 million) as remuneration.[2] When selecting the film's music director, the makers initially considered both Anirudh Ravichander and Devi Sri Prasad, but eventually chose Thaman for the role.[3][4]
The film's principal photography begun on 8 November 2023. Released the same day was a poster displaying an axe, to signify that shooting has commenced.[5][6] It was rumored that Dulquer Salmaan would play a part, but this was revealed to be false.[7] In December 2023, it was reported that Bobby Deol had joined the sets of NBK109, while Urvashi joined in January 2024.[8][9] A filming schedule was completed at Ooty in December.[10] Deol will be given ₹8 crore (US$1.0 million) as payment.[11] The first half schedule was wrapped up in February.[12]
Release edit
Although there is no official date yet, NBK109 is expected to have either a Dasara release this year or a Sankranti release next year. The reason for why the producers haven't chosen a date yet, is that Balakrishna will be focusing on the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly and Parliament elections, and will take a two-month hiatus from shooting. Due to this, he was unsure on which days he was available for filming.[13][14]
