editIt was announced in May 2023 that Will Ferrell had entered early negotiations to star in the film as Madden, with David O. Russell set to direct.[1]
In April 2024, it was announced Hugh Jackman was now set to star as Madden, with Tom Hanks entering negotiations to play Al Davis.[2]
Filming
editPrincipal photography is scheduled to begin in late 2024.[2]
