Fukuoka Prefecture Gokoku Shrine is a Shinto shrine located in Japan. It is a Beppyo shrine, or a shrine that is particularly notable in a certain way with a significant history to it.[1] It is a Gokoku Shrine, or a shrine dedicated to war dead.[a] Such shrines were made to serve to enshrine the war dead, and they were all considered "branches" of Yasukuni Shrine. They were renamed from Shokonsha in 1939.[2] It is located in Ōhori Park near the ruins of Fukuoka Castle.[3]
