Follies is an upcoming musical film written and directed by Dominic Cooke. It is based on the Broadway musical of the same name by James Goldman and Stephen Sondheim.
Premise edit
Stage performers hold a reunion at their former theatre prior to it's planned demolishment.
Production edit
An earlier attempt at a film adaptation was made in January 2015, with Rob Marshall set to direct, and Meryl Streep rumored to star in it.[1]
In November 2019, a new iteration entered development, with Dominic Cooke set to serve as writer and director for the adaptation.[2]
