The Extraction film series consists of American action-thriller filmss. Starring Chris Hemsworth as a black ops mercenary named Tyler Rake, the movies are developed by AGBO in collaboration with Netflix as exclusive releases through the latter's streaming service. Based on the graphic novel titled Ciudad by Ande Parks, the plot centers around the fictional former-Australian Special Air Service Regiment operator turned-black ops mercenary named Tyler Rake and details his dangerous rescue missions.

In June 2023 at Netflix Tudum Festival, Hargrave and Hemsworth jointly announced the development of Extraction 3, debuting the movie's official logo at the event. Hargrave will return in his role as director, with Hemsworth once again starring as Tyler Rake.[1] In November of the same year, Head of Netflix Films Scott Stuber stated that work on the script is ongoing.[2] By April 2024, Joe Russo was revealed to once again serve as screenwriter, while he and Anthony Russo will produce the project. The pair stated that the project will begin production when Hemsworth's production schedule allows.[3]

Spin-off

In June 2023, Hargrave announced that a scene included in Extraction 2 is intended to set up a spin-off film centered around Nik and Yaz Khan; portrayed by Golshifteh Farahani and Adam Bessa respectively.[4]
