Plot
editA history-making volcano explosion that is about to wipe away the big island of Hawaii. However, a secret held for decades by the U.S. military is far more terrifying than any volcano.

editOn June 6, 2024, Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi & Jimmy Chin were attached to direct the feature film adaptation of James Patterson & Michael Crichton’s novel Eruption, and would produce with Patterson, Sherri Crichton, and Shane Salerno.[1] In July of that year, Sony was set to produce the movie.[2]
Casting
editOn July 10, 2024, Keanu Reeves was in talks to star in the film.[2]
