Cebidae VR is a game from the applab section of the meta quest store.[1] It is a fan game of Gorilla Tag.[2] The creators are Icicles Studios. There are 1 lead game developer on this game, Icicles.[3] Icicles mostly made the VR(Virtual Reality) mechanics and coding, while a game designer namedAwesomeboy122 helped mostly by doing cosmetic design, map design, and recruiting members for their "business". Icicles, the main leader of the project, has sadly announced that the project will not be earning revenue.

Cosmetic Designers

Cosmetic Designers are people that design cosmetics. There were quite a lot of cosmetic designers at Icicles Studios. There were BLIZZARD_KING, Awesomeboy122, Freejolito420, Harlan Coleman, Anthony, and Colin Dillon. These were all the cosmetic designers before they all quit due to no pay.[4]

Map Designers

Map designers are people that design maps at Icicles Studios. There weren't many map designers . But they were important for the game's growth. The map designers were EliteWillow, Aubrey Allee, and Asher Ingebretsen. Icicles Studios has fired an old map designer and an important one at that. His name is Matthew. He has three maps done, but sadly, after pranking and hacking into their google slides has been fired by Awesomeboy122.[4]

Bugs

There is only one bug in the game known right now(February 1st, 2024) . You can get out of the Forest map.[5] This is definitely a problem there but they claim it is more of a feature than a bug.[4]

Cosmetics

Current cosmetics in the game as of February 1st, 2024 are as follows: Red Hat, Party Hat, Black Top Hat, and Temple Hat.[5] There are also exclusive moderator cosmetics. There is white top hat and staff mod menu.[4]

Maps

There are 2 maps technically 3 maps. There is one called Practice Map, which is the red cube you spawn in once you start the game. To get out of the red cube you need to jump on the three platforms and jump out of the hole and you go into Forest Map. Forest map is the main map. There is a valley in the middle with trees and flat land with little to no trees. There is a shop which is where you find all of the cosmetics. Next to the shop is a mirror and a wardrobe. Then to the other side of the shop, there is a leaderboard, a computer, a speaker, and a list of 4 rules.[5] The third map is mod vents, where mods can hang out without being disturbed by a 5 year old screaming at the top of their lungs.[4]

New Updates

In the latest update(February 1st, 2024), Icicles Studios added a new rule leaderboard and a censorship system where if you put something inappropriate in your username it will make your username, "CENSORED."[5]

Ideas

There are some ideas suggested from the community of Cebidae VR. There is one idea where when your hand hits the ground, your controller vibrates, just like in Gorilla Tag. Also, there is one suggestion to add a caterpillar to forest map. Also, holdable animals, make the walls in forest map higher, and make a savannah map.[4]
