Allen Career Institute is a coaching institute for JEE, NEET and other competitive exams founded by Rajesh Maheshwari. It has branches across 58 cities in India.[1]

Web series adaptation edit

Kota Factory, a web series that streamed on Netflix included Maheshwari Classes in the narrative which was loosely inspired from Allen (using the family surname that runs the institute in the same way that Bansal classes was named after Vinod Kumar Bansal).[2]

Controversies edit

In April 2019, The Chandigarh State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission directed Allen Coaching to make a refund of INR 66,000 to a student who had filed a complaint along with a compensation of IRN 15,000 and litigation expenses of INR 10,000.[3][4] In 2020, Delhi High Court gave orders to Telegram to shut down the channels sharing the copyrighted education material of Allen.[5] In the same year, the All India Rank (AIR) 3, Vaibhav Raj, was concurrently claimed by Allen and their rival FIIT JEE.[6] The Franchise business of Allen was also questioned by Dajiworld.[7]
