• Comment: This is marketing promotion, totally unsuitable for an encyclopaedia..."True to their origin, they have stayed largely within the realm of surveying, inspection, consulting and litigation, in the general sphere of maritime energy. with close ties to heavy industry and shipping, they also offer services in the domain of civil engineering. Since it´s inception, profits have steadily increased, and in the past few years, they have done so to remarkable degrees" Theroadislong (talk) 21:14, 17 February 2024 (UTC)

The ABL Group ASA (OSE: ABL) is a multinational company with roots in England that provides a wide range of consulting services in the energy sector, covering topics like renewable energy, offshore, shipping and related software development. The company headquarters is located in London, and has offices in 38 countries. The ABL Group is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange[2].

History edit

The ABL Group was established in 2014, when a merger occurred between AqualisBraemar and LOC Group (London Offshore Consultants), an offshoot of OC Group, a process which was completed in 2020.[citation needed] The company traces its roots to the Salvage Association in 1857, which was originally a venture of under-writers from Lloyds Bank. The Salvage Association specialized in inspecting hulls, and the ABL Group has maintained business focused on offshore maritime energy, including civil engineering, surveying, inspection, consulting and litigation.[citation needed]

Today, the company has 62 offices in 38 countries, with people on post in 300 locations.[citation needed] They recently acquired AGR, a company specializing in software solutions for offshore installations[3]
