The 2024 Charleston Battery season will be the club's 32nd season of competition. Charleston Battery competes in the USL Championship.

Background edit

The Battery finished an impressive 2023 season with a 17-9-8 record. They finished the regular season in third place and advanced to the USL Championship final where they were beaten by Phoenix Rising FC. Charleston ended their US Open Cup run in the Round of 32 with a 1-0 loss to Inter Miami CF.[1].

Head coach Ben Pirmann was a finalist for the 2023 Coach of the Year award[2] and Fidel Barajas was named 2023 Young Player of the Year[3]

U.S. Open Cup edit

The 2024 Edition of the U.S. Open Cup will have the Battery entering in the round of 32 alongside seven other USLC teams and the eight participating Major League Soccer franchises..[28] In the 2023 U.S. Open Cup the Battery made it to the round of 32 where they were knocked out by Inter Miami CF[1]
