Democratic Area–Autonomist Left

The Democratic Area–Autonomist Left (Area Democratica-Gauche Autonomiste, ADGA) is left-wing[1] political party active in Aosta Valley, Italy.

Background

edit

It was founded as a movement within Democratic Party (PD).[2] In the 2020 Valdostan regional election, their members ran on the Progressive Civic Project alongside PD, Green Europe (EV) and Civic Network (RC).[3] When the Progressive Civic Project split, ADGA's councilor Erika Guichardaz[4] joined the opposition.[5]

In the general election AD–GA alongside Five Star Movement, Environment Rights Equality (ADU) and Italian Left (SI) supported Guichardaz to the Chamber and Daria Pulz to the Senate.[6][7] Guichardaz and Pulz obtained 10.9% and 10.0% of the vote, respectively.
