Central District (Sarbaz County)

The Central District of Sarbaz County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان سرباز) is in Sistan and Baluchestan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Sarbaz.[3]

At the National Census in 2006, its population was 40,740 in 7,740 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 26,348 people in 5,830 households,[5] by which time Jakigur Rural District had been transferred from Pishin District. Murtan Rural District and Parud Rural District had been separated in the establishment of Parud District. At the latest census in 2016, the district had 29,925 inhabitants in 7,368 households.[2]

In September 2018, Sarbaz Rural District, Sarkur Rural District, and the city of Sarbaz were transferred from Sarbaz District to the Central District.
