Central District (Meybod County)

The Central District of Meybod County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان میبد) is in Yazd province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Meybod.[3]

At the National Census in 2006, its population was 70,728 in 19,076 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 82,840 people in 23,300 households.[5] At the latest census in 2016, the district had 85,771 inhabitants in 25,366 households,[2] by which time Bafruiyeh Rural District and the city of Bafruiyeh had been separated from the district in the establishment of Bafruiyeh District.[6]
