- Category:Texas–Pan American Broncs men's basketball players to Category:Texas–Rio Grande Valley Vaqueros men's basketball players – per C2D. KingSkyLord (talk | contribs) 17:26, 26 June 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose. It's anachronistic to say that Pete Perry (basketball) played for a university that was created only 7 years ago. --Gonnym (talk) 17:34, 26 June 2020 (UTC)
- The current university inherited all of the previous seasons, statistics, players, coaches, etc. from UTPA after the merger between them and UTB. Yeah, he never played for the current university as is, but his former school is now UTRGV based on all of the inherited stuff. KingSkyLord (talk | contribs) 18:04, 26 June 2020 (UTC)
- It's still anachronistic. Just create a new category and make this a sub-category or a sibling category. See Category:Minneapolis Lakers. --Gonnym (talk) 18:13, 26 June 2020 (UTC)
- If both schools had an athletic program like LIU, I would've done that already but this one is different. This is more of a name change than a completely different program. KingSkyLord (talk | contribs) 19:05, 26 June 2020 (UTC)
