To-do List:

Hi! I am disappointed that within Wikipedia there is no coverage of the "Leader Cable" concept (a technique for relative navigation and short-range communication utilizing loops inductively coupled to a current-carrying cable on or just below ground) both for its historical significance (guiding ships in and out of NYC harbor, covert military operations, blind landing systems, etc., etc.) and perhaps more importantly, for its present applicability to the guidance and control of robotic vehicular systems. To fill what I believe to be a significant gap I have written a three or four page write-up referencing work from the late 19th century up through the present which I would like to submit for potential inclusion in Wikipedia. If there is anyone in a position to facilitate the evaluation of such an entry I would appreciate their contacting me: fneddy@charter.net. Thanks! Fneddy (talk) 16:44, 15 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
