Oppose these bishop cats. @Rathfelder: A bishop does not necessarily hold office in the country of his nationality. For example, many Irish bishops served in the USA or Australia. This nomination conflates two sets. --BrownHairedGirl(talk) • (contribs)
I understand that we have decided to categorise bishops by the nation in which they operate, not by their personal nationality. Their personal nationality can be specified at the level of "Fooish priests". See Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2021_February_28#Category:Bishops_by_nationality. As far as I can see all these Lutheran, Hungarian and Albanian bishops operated in their country of origin. Rathfelder (talk) 23:29, 16 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Rathfelder, that is not a matter of "understand". It is case of either a decision has been or it hasn't. If such a decision has been made by consensus, please link to the discussion. --BrownHairedGirl(talk) • (contribs) 01:18, 17 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
Oppose the renaming of the bishop categories. A Danish Lutheran bishop is not the same as a Lutheran bishop in Denmark. The distinction being, a Lutheran bishop who is of Danish nationality and a Lutheran bishop who happens to operate in Denmark are quite different ways to categorize individuals. @Rathfelder: yeah, this really requires full discussion. It requires reparenting for sure and potentially it requires purging as well (in case the category contains Gambian bishops who weren't bishop in the Gambia). Too complex for speedy. Marcocapelle (talk) 20:53, 5 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
