Baio began his career at Internacional. On 23 September 2015, he was first included in a squad for the quarter-final first leg of the year's Copa do Brasil, replacing Wellington for the final 13 minutes of a 1–1 draw against eventual champions Palmeiras at the Beira-Rio. His professional debut came on 28 November, replacing Anderson for the final nine minutes of a 1–1 draw at Fluminense.[1]
Votuporanguense edit
Baio teve grande passagem pelo Clube Atlético Votuporanguense, em 2018, onde foi fundamental na conquista do título inédito da Copa Paulista, sendo um dos principais nomes da campanha. Marcou o gol do CAV no jogo de ida da final do torneio ante a ferroviaria, terminado em 1x1. Ganhou o apelido de BB9, levando an equipe a participação inédita na Copa do Brasil em 2019.
